History

The role of women in the development and survival of society cannot be overlooked. The foundation of educational institutes for women is the vital part of this chain. One of these such institutes is Govt. Degree Clg for Women, Ahmedpur East which was founded on 1st September, 1981. The foundation of this institute was the need of time. The commencement of the classes of F.A. 1st year took place on 15th November, 1981 in Govt. Girls High School, Ahmedpur East. In June 1982, with the untiring efforts and assistance of the residents of the city and other high education officials, and with the collaboration of Mr. Chaudhary Abdul Razzaq, Master of Govt. Sadiq Abbas Boys High School, Ahmedpur Sharqia , the college was shifted to the hostel building of Govt. Sadiq Abbas High School of Intermediate and Secondary Education from Bahawalpur. At the degree level, the college was affiliated to Islamia University, Bwp in September, 2003.

ICS classes were launched from 2001. Since it's inception, the institution has been led by experienced and responsible heads and has attained the services of hardworking, sincere and qualified teachers whose educational experts are always giving face-to-face guidance due to which educational results are always getting upgraded

Today, female students who graduated from this institute are holding high positions in various institutes.
